A new project has allowed Maptek to quickly demonstrate the capability of installing fixed laser scanners around a stockpile and sending automatic reports in real time via a simple, user-friendly interface.
Multiple Maptek laser scanners are set up strategically around a stockpile. Operations can set defined scanning start and end times, and results are delivered via a 3D viewer displaying volumetric analysis of each defined area. The web-style interface makes it simple to draw polygons to define the areas for automatic reporting on specific stocks.
